The Holosun Flip-Up magnifier for red dot sights provides a fixed 6x optical magnification. The fixed magnification allows a red dot sight to be transformed into a medium-magnification optical system. Unlike a traditional scope, however, the magnifier can simply be flipped to the side when magnification is not required, allowing immediate use of the red dot sight.

Additionally, if the user wants to remove the magnifier completely, it can be quickly detached using the QD lever. Once initially adjusted, this simple system requires no additional tools during use, meaning the magnifier does not have to remain permanently mounted on the firearm. The housing is made from durable machined aluminum with a micro-arc oxidation finish that provides a matte surface.

By default, the magnifier is configured for Absolute Co-Witness, while the included spacer allows it to be changed to Lower ⅓ Co-Witness. The device features a high VLT transmission level for this category of equipment, reaching 80%. This helps maintain high image clarity, which becomes increasingly important at higher magnification. The magnifier also features windage and elevation adjustment.
