The Holosun P.ID handgun weapon light in the High Candela version is designed for mounting on a MIL-STD-1913 Picatinny rail. This model features an LED producing up to 800 lumens and 42,000 candela, with a narrower beam and greater range compared to the standard P.ID model. The flashlight is powered by a flat-top 18350 lithium-ion rechargeable battery.

The battery can be charged using the included magnetic USB charging cable without removing it from the flashlight. The charging port is located on the underside, so the flashlight does not need to be removed for charging. An LED indicator located next to the port shows the charging status. If necessary, the battery compartment can be accessed by unscrewing the flashlight head.

The 18350 battery provides up to 60 minutes of operation in Low mode at 400 lm and 21,000 cd. The flashlight is operated using an ambidextrous Paddle Switch located at the rear of the housing. Pressing and holding the switch provides momentary illumination until it is released, while toggling it activates constant-on mode. The symmetrical switch design provides convenient operation for both right- and left-handed users.

The flashlight body is machined from 7075 aluminum and finished with an anodized coating. This provides increased resistance to mechanical damage, while multiple seals allow the flashlight to meet the IP68 protection standard. The flashlight mounts to a Picatinny rail using a spring-loaded clamp that can be tightened even with the rim of a cartridge case. Interchangeable adapters allow the flashlight position to be adjusted in 3 increments of approximately 2 mm.
