HIKMICRO Thunder TQ50CL 3.0 thermal clip-on with laser rangefinder

HIKMICRO Thunder TQ50CL 3.0 is a thermal clip-on with a laser rangefinder, combining high image quality with a wide field of view for comfortable observation and aiming. Third-generation Thunder thermal devices have a compact construction and high image quality that make detecting and observing game straightforward.

Rangefinder and Thunder 3.0 platform

The laser rangefinder lets the shooter determine distance precisely up to 1000 m and apply corrections before taking a shot. Thunder 3.0 clip-ons use an efficient thermal detector with higher sensitivity and the latest image-processing algorithm, helping capture fine details of the observed object in different weather and light conditions.

Generation 3.0 features

  • OLED display with 1920 x 1080 resolution and 0.49 inch size for precise temperature-difference detail
  • detection range up to 2600 m
  • 640x512 sensor with 12 μm pixel pitch
  • thermal sensitivity of 15 mK
  • high shock and recoil resistance for standard hunting calibres such as 308 Win, 7x64 and 8x57IS
  • replaceable 18650 Li-Ion battery with up to 5 hours continuous runtime
  • compact C version design for carrying during hunting

Runtime and Image Pro 3.0

The Thunder TQ50CL 3.0 is optimised for operation, with up to 5 hours continuous runtime and a 50 Hz refresh rate for smooth, comfortable observation. Image Pro 3.0, available from 30 May 2025 for STELLAR 3.0, THUNDER 3.0, FALCON 2.0 and CONDOR 2.0 devices, changes how target and surroundings are shown.

Image Pro 3.0 functions

  • automatic target highlighting against the surroundings for fast identification in dense forest or weak light
  • high-detail sharpness from 50 m to 300 m, including antlers, coat texture and muscle tension at high magnification
  • situational awareness through mapping of terrain, vegetation and obstacles
  • clear image ready for analysis without time lost searching for outlines

Thunder TQ50CL 3.0 construction

  • 15 mK sensor sensitivity
  • comfortable OLED display
  • 8.8° field of view
  • aluminium housing with magnesium addition
  • high shock resistance for use on high-calibre firearms
  • IP67 water and dust protection

Image quality and dual-use notice

HIKVISION, the producer behind HIKMICRO thermal sights, uses advanced solutions for high image quality. A sensor below 15 mK improves target recognition and detailed identification. The OLED display supports long use and a clear picture, with display modes Black Hot, White Hot, Red Hot, Fusion, Red monochrome and Green monochrome. The device can capture photos and videos for recording hunting moments or preparing reference material for shooting-technique improvement. Dual-use products have civil and military applications; export from Poland is subject to strict regulations intended to prevent use in weapon production and threats to international security, and may require special licences.
